Lincoln Park Engagement Portraits

These friends. Love them. Kirk showed up to their engagement session dressed like this, and I was like, Okay… just run with it. But seriously??!? Lauren must’ve read my face, because she immediately looked at me and said, “Oh, it’s a joke. We just want to pretend that this is what he’s wearing. He’ll take it off in a minute.” I died laughing. “But isn’t it the best shirt in the history of the world?” Kirk asked. “Look… the sleeves are the dragon wings!!” Oh, Kirk. After we all had a good laugh, we got serious about their real shoot. Which wasn’t hard. Lauren is a professional photographer herself, and  knows how to look good in front of the camera. Kirk loves Lauren, and melts just a little, every time he looks at her. They were some of the best, easiest subjects I’ve ever photographed. They love each other— deeply— and that shows through in every frame.

Guys, your engagement session was a delight. Your wedding was a privilege (readers: that’s coming soon!). Knowing you is a joy. Thanks for letting me be a part of your life.
