weddings

I could tell you some other superficial things about myself— I love dark chocolate and red wine, I love DC for it’s grand architecture and rich history, I have a husband I adore, a strong marriage, a darling baby girl, a quaint old brick home, and a love for strong coffee & a good book.

But if you really want to know me, here are a few things that matter:

I never get tired of weddings.
I tear up at almost every first kiss.
I think pretty & styled is nice, but real life is beautiful.
I would rather cook for a friend than buy a meal out.
I care more about having a beautiful soul than a perfect body.
I cherish every lingering morning, and end every night with a kiss.
I believe marriage is one of the greatest earthly gifts anyone can receive.
I believe in telling your story, not my own version of it.

Their January wedding was full of subtle nods to their alma mater, with beautiful accents of […]

Melissa and Scott’s wedding day at The Army and Navy Club was the perfect way to ring in the holiday season. The couple (both in the Army) met while deployed in Romania, and knew they wanted their wedding to be all about faith, family, and friends. After all, Scott proposed to Melissa at her dad’s […]

It was a blind set up on the National Mall— Sarah never would’ve guessed she was meeting her future husband, but Sam left convinced that there was no other woman in the world he could think of marrying. After a weekend of hanging out with friends, he summoned the courage and asked Sarah for her […]

Partway through their wedding reception at the St Regis DC, Matt got up on stage, opened his wallet, and pulled out a creased and well-worn letter. It was the first letter Hannah ever wrote to him, the summer after they met. It wasn’t substantive or emotional— they were teenagers after all (she was 17, he […]

Sometimes the best love stories are two people coming together, recognizing something in the other that resonates with oneself, and walking hand in hand from there. Colleen knew Mike was the one for her from the start, and their love for adventures and travel has taken them to far off and wonderful places. While on […]
