Vintage-Inspired Dumbarton House Wedding in Georgetown
Adam & Abby’s wedding was a family-filled affair with touches of the kind of thoughtfulness and whimsy that characterized their relationship. Abby’s dress mimicked vintage lace, their ceremony was at the historic Georgetown Lutheran Church, and they gave handmade favors of of favorite family recipes to all of their guests. Soft swing-era music from vintage record players filled the air during cocktail hour at Dumbarton House as guests played lawn games and mingled in the late afternoon sunshine, classic cocktails in hand. Adam & Abby entered their reception and immediately performed a perfectly-choreographed first dance, giving nod to their history in musical performance. The theme music from Pixar’s “UP” played during cake cutting— the perfect summary of their sweet relationship.
