I received an email from Nicholette in January: I met the love of my life, and we are eloping! We want the day to be about us as a couple, bringing our relationship together, and the sanctity of marriage. Besides the marriage license, the photos are most important. Are you available?? Ummmmmm… YES.
We emailed back and forth for a few weeks, made plans, and I showed up at their hotel room before the crack of dawn on March 17th, just after that last freak snow of Spring. Getting ready photos, then sunrise portraits, then the ceremony at the DC Courthouse, and then coffee and pastries to celebrate. That was the plan. These two were so in love, so happy to be getting married, that even road blocks and closed parking lots (thanks, Cherry Blossom Festival) couldn’t dampen their smiles!
A few weeks after the session I received an email from Nicholette and I nearly cried—
We are so proud of the images we have and the experience we get to share with others. Even more than that we enjoyed spending time with you and having you be with us that day. Every time we look through these pictures we cant help but say how awesome and kind and genuine you were. So thank you, for being you.
Because of you, our wedding is “real” to our families and friends who weren’t there but even more importantly it gives us beautiful reminders of that special day.
Working with you was the second best decision of that day (the first was obviously marrying each other). I can not tell you enough how excited we are to have these memories and to turn those pictures into beautiful keepsakes and art for our homes to come.
Thank you, thank you, thank you endlessly!
Thank YOU for welcoming me into part of your story!!!
