September Monthly Goals

September Monthly Goals by Sarah Bradshaw PhotographyOoooooooooh my gosh, y’all. How is it even possible that we’re almost through this year already?! It’s a bit scary. I know, I know, we still have a full four months left in the year, but Fall is always the busiest time of year for me, so it feels like as soon as September hits I should just close my eyes and hold my breath and pray I make it to Christmas. This year, I want to be much more intentional about managing my Fall season well, and that’s where these monthly goals are so helpful! They give definition and focus and purpose to my time, and keep me on-track.

Buck’s travel schedule picks up in September (after a glorious 7-month break!!), so I’ll be experiencing the adventure of full-time MomBoss single-handed for a couple of weeks. Thankfully we have family coming in to help us for part of the time, but it’s still going to stretch me! I’m excited for a more regular shooting routine, and to see how we handle this new season of work travel, and to work to propel this business forward while managing the day-to-day.

Last Month’s Goals — Checking In:

A lot of my August goals are transferring over to September (read: they didn’t get done), but I had a feeling that would be the case. I was sick for two weeks and on vacation for 9 days, which didn’t leave a lot of space to accomplish things. On the personal side, I didn’t exercise much, I still haven’t finished reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Upand I only touched my journal twice. On the business side, I’m still looking for an office assistant, I haven’t sold any unused equipment yet, I haven’t started my bridal guide, I haven’t touched my session for C@H, and still need to update my website portfolio.

I did accomplish a few big things that I’m proud of, though! I updated my pricing, built a new pricing website, read one business book and got halfway through another, got TONS done on my Secret Project, Kon-Mari’d my clothes and donated a TON, spent time as a family and with friends, and dreamed some crazy big dreams for our future. I’m really happy with what did get done, and excited to jump into September’s list.
