Elaine and Jamie met while working together and were just friends for several years. The two only started dating once Elaine moved thousands of miles away to work in London. They knew it was meant to be when the first few months of their relationship were spent traveling in Europe. It takes a special connection with someone to travel in foreign countries and never grow tired of one another’s company. Jamie prepared a scavenger hunt with all of Elaine (an avid lover of games and puzzles), while back home in San Francisco, ending with a proposal! Elaine says, “I sneakily proposed to Jamie right afterwards with my own gift!”.
This fun-loving couple’s spring wedding at the National Museum of Women in the Arts was absolutely joyful. The blooming cherry trees and bright sunshine were the personification of happiness, itself! A painting in the museum’s collection served as inspiration the wedding colors. Gorgeous notes of lilac, violet, and plum were present throughout the day. After getting ready at Grand Hyatt, the couple shared their first look at the City Center with festive pink lanterns strung overhead. Portraits near the Capitol provided the perfect opportunity for the wedding party to come together before the wedding. Jamie and Elaine’s friends, Tall Heights, played during the ceremony and seven of their close friends gave blessings, as well. After toasts, dinner, and the hora, the newlyweds shared a fun-filled evening with family and friends, while enjoying a delectable dessert bar and dancing to Round Midnight.
