A West Virginia boy meets a Northern Virginia girl, they fall in love, adopt a puppy, get engaged, and plan their wedding. Ryan & Brooke’s wedding was the perfect “The Modern Romantic”— a lace gown, a long veil, a first look at an historic manor house, and a fluffy bouquet… with a watercolor cake, agate escort cards, and terrarium candle holders… and cocktail napkins and stir sticks featuring their sweet dog, Milo’s profile. They hosted their reception at Washington Golf & County Club, where her family has had membership for generations. Her grandparents were members, her aunt was married there, and her parents hosted their rehearsal dinner there. At the end of the night, all of their guests surrounded them on the dance floor and sang their hearts out to “Country Roads” as a nod to their alma mater, WVU.
