Ashley and AJ’s elopement wedding in Tampa, Florida perfectly fit the bill. An elopement wedding or even a micro-wedding can take a bit of the pressure off the bride and groom on the wedding day, allowing for a more carefree day for the couple, which can be a wedding photographer‘s dream! With no tight timelines to abide by, we had the freedom to explore different locations for wedding day portraits, from a grove of live oaks to the ocean, offering exciting backdrops for their wedding elopement photos.
I love that Ashley and AJ still donned elegant wedding day attire, even though their day is not typical of most weddings. Ashley’s modern, minimalist wedding dress was perfect for her along with her pearl studded wedding veil, and a “something blue” bridal bouquet of blue hydrangeas.
We began the day with some getting-ready photos before a first-look reveal, then headed to the county courthouse in Tampa for a private wedding ceremony before the newlyweds met their beloved guests for a wedding celebration of their union later in the day. Their wedding day was non-traditional, but perfect all the same!
