I love getting to travel to new and exciting destinations to photograph real weddings. For AJ and Brittany’s wedding, we headed south to Georgia for an exclusive wedding weekend on the lake with modern touches and elegant black and white wedding details.

AJ and Brittany are a modern, city-loving couple living in Charlotte, NC. For their autumn wedding, they looked for a stateside destination wedding venue with flexible space, on-site accommodations, and (most importantly!) truly unparalleled food and beverage service. A visit to The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds on Lake Oconee, Georgia ticked all the boxes for them for their wedding day. While more rustic in setting than their taste, it provided everything they wanted to make their wedding weekend truly memorable for their family and friends.

Despite the rustic location of their wedding venue, they were able to transform their wedding space with modern decor elements for a timeless and classic wedding. Some notable highlights from photographing their modern elegant wedding were the flower girl’s procession in a miniature Mercedes-Benz convertible, custom drink toppers for espresso martinis, and a laser robot dancer to keep the party alive on the dance floor.

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds was truly the perfect fit for AJ and Brittany’s wedding weekend. It was an honor to photograph their wedding on Lake Oconee in Georgia. An incredible resort hotel can be a great option if you are looking for a destination wedding venue that can host you and your guests all weekend long! It’s hard to pick one favorite detail from this modern elegant wedding, but I think the adorable flower girl in her convertible stole more than a few hearts, including mine.
