“I know you don’t have summer plans,” Will (or “Wigi”) said to Jason. “Come work at Calleva with me. It just may be the best Summer of your life.”

Jason and Wigi were in the Peace Corps together, and had formed a fast friendship. Wigi and Molly were old friends from home. Molly ALSO worked at Calleva Outdoor Adventures over the Summers. But I’m not sure any of them could foresee the perfect love story that grew out of that quiet little invitation to “come spend the Summer at a place that teaches people to love outdoors.” But Jason and Molly… they fell in love quickly.

They’re both the kind of people who give and give and love and serve and give some more— Jason is a teacher, Molly is a social worker, and both dedicate their lives to helping kids. They bonded over International travel and humanitarian relief, but soon went from friends to best friends, and then fell in love.

Years of dating long-distance, then moving to the same city to be near each other, and then transplanting to a new city together, created a sweet depth to their love. Soulmates, best friends, lovers, and each others’ solid ground— their wedding was a perfect picture of all of that.

They married at Strong Mansion on Sugarloaf Mountain, the same mountain where they met and first fell in love. They shared a private first look, during which they wrote and spoke their own vows to each other, then publicly committed to each other before friends and family, and danced the night away.
