They first met, briefly, at the National Constitution Center during law school orientation at University of Pennsylvania, so it only made sense for Wilson to propose to Le-Anh at the same spot. During a return visit to Philadelphia, he feigned need for a Pocket Constitution, “… because everyone should have one, right?”, as an excuse to swing by the National Constitution Center again. He then led her to the exact spot of their first meeting and got down on one knee.
So when it came time to plan their elegant fall wedding at the Raspberry Plain Manor, it only made sense to stay on-theme. Their tables were named after Founding Fathers, and Pocket Constitutions were tucked into each place setting for guests to take home with them. Small busts of Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson adorned the escort card table to give a nod to both Federalist-Era American history, as well as Penn State’s founders. Their wedding was not only elegant, but personal and sentimental – the combination for a perfect day!
