Happy Mother’s Day
Becoming a mother to a little girl has made me infinitely more thankful for my own mother and our relationship. Friend, role model, counselor— she is a cherished gift in my life. She’s the one I call when I just need to talk. She’s my business accountability partner— no one else in my life quite understands the unique struggles and blessings of a Christian-wife-mother-entrepreneur-dreamer-doer (who would’ve thought we’d both end up as business owners??). She’s an amazing example of humility, joy, and service toward her family. Her wisdom is invaluable, her marriage a picture of Gospel grace and long-term crazy-love, and her work ethic is a daily challenge to me.
I aspire to grow more and more like her, and earnestly pray that in 30 years London and I enjoy the same sweet friendship and respect and honesty that you and I share.
“The world has enough women who are smart; it needs women who are willing to be simple. The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant; it needs some who will be brave. The world has enough women who are popular; it needs more to be pure.” (Peter Marshall)
Praying for grace to raise this dear daughter to be a woman of conviction, steeped in grace, and in love with the Gospel of Christ.
And because weddings bring out soooo many sweet mother-love moments, here are a few of my favorite mother-child images from the last few years of weddings:
