As I mentioned in my first Color Theory blog post, a necessary part of creative entrepreneurship is setting aside time to cultivate beauty just for me, to take time to dream and imagine and make beautiful images that inspire my soul. Add a little bit of collaborative inspiration, and you have “Styled Shoots,” or “Wedding Editorials.”
This particular editorial was inspired by an imagined love story— if a girl from Cape Cod and a boy from England met and fell in love in Virginia’s Horse Country, what would their wedding look like? I imagined soft light, Fall tones, just the right amount of prep, and a nod to the older and storied history of English manor houses. We chose our venue, vendors, and models (who just happened to be engaged in real life) with this narrative in mind, and they hit it out of the park.
