Cory and Sarah met while kayaking down the Potomac River in the summer of 2017. He was weighing a move to Taipei, not knowing that love would soon alter his plans. A few months later, the two began dating, and shortly after they knew this was it. Taipei still in Cory’s mind, he said he would stay for her, Sarah said she’d move for him. He proposed at the bench where they first held hands, and she quickly said yes!
Just a few short months after engagement, they celebrated their wedding ceremony at their Church, and held a black tie reception at the Hay-Adams! Their primary goal was to focus on the Gospel, and to show honor and love for the people in their lives. Bright summer florals complimented their black and white palette perfectly. Sarah wore heirloom jewelry belonging to her mother and grandmother. The couple’s friends lended their extraordinary talents by helping with planning, hair, florals, and baking their cake! They shared an intimate cake reception after their ceremony at Capitol Hill Baptist Church before heading over to their evening festivities at the Hay-Adams.
Thank you to the vendors who made this day so special
