We are beyond thrilled to see our hard work, artistic vision, and beautiful creations featured by WedLuxe Magazine. This Biltmore Wedding Inspiration Editorial was truly a labor of love, and I’m so proud to see it out in the world!
When I submitted this for publication, I wrote the following: “This editorial is a love letter to The Biltmore, the man who built it, and the women he loved. Drawing on my love of history, architecture, fashion, & design, I asked, “What would they wear? How would they commemorate their love? Where would they want portraits taken?”
To quote WedLuxe, “Sarah’s answers unfolded with one of the most beautiful and thoughtfully executed wedding editorials we’ve seen in a long time.”
I’m so proud to share the results.
George Vanderbilt, the quiet & gentle youngest son of the wealthiest man in America. An avid reader, a lover of the arts, and a man who wanted nothing more than to enjoy peaceful sunsets on his loggia with his dog, his family, and his closest friends. A brilliant mind, and a steady friend.
Edith, the tall, elegant, wild-haired beauty from New England who gladly embraced life in rural North Carolina and worked to better the lives of everyone around her. Legendary fashion sense, gracious hostess, the definition of kindness, and a force for good.
Cornelia, the passionate daughter of the Estate, an avid horsewoman who loved the gardens and stables as much as she loved people and parties. Elegant, spirited, and bold.
This editorial is a love letter to The Biltmore House & Estate, the man who built it, and the women he loved. I chose specific elements of their stories and crafted a visual narrative intended to resonate with a modern audience.
