Will and Sarah hosted their loved ones in Washington, D.C. for a summer wedding at Anderson House. The historic venue’s opulent interior spaces was a perfect match for their romantic wedding day with whimsical and effortlessly elegant details. Intentional design elements seamlessly blended their love for D.C. and the bride’s Sri Lankan heritage, a perfect mix of classic elegance and whimsical play. A navy blue, emerald green, blush pink, and burgundy color palette created a warm and inviting feeling that suited the rich heritage of the wedding venue, while elephant motifs and ivy gave a further nod to the couples’ history.
The wedding reception place settings and tablescapes gave the guests a feeling of bringing a lush, moody garden indoors. Bride, Sarah, was a beauty in a timeless long-sleeved, lace wedding dress for the wedding ceremony and wedding day portraits. For the wedding reception, the bride changed into a gorgeous golden sari to celebrate her Sri Lankan heritage.
