Joyful Summer Wedding at the Inn at Willow Grove
John & Courtney’s Joyful Summer Wedding at the Inn at Willow Grove was an exercise in patience, but in the end was well worth the wait!
They met on a dating app and hit it off immediately. After three “first dates” in quick succession, they decided this was it. As Courtney says, “It was easy from the start!”
John proposed on a Thursday night at home. After a meal of homemade pasta and champagne and a walk along the Georgetown waterfront, they settled in on the living room rug for a competitive game of Bananagrams. John – who had anticipated this was how the night would progress – had lined his pockets with the tiles to spell M-A-R-R-Y M-E.
They planned their perfect wedding at the Inn at Willow Grove for September 2020, but Covid-19 forced them to postpone their wedding until the following Summer. After a year of isolation, the most important thing for both John & Courtney was that their people felt welcomed, thought of, cared for, and comfortable— a space for joyful reunions.
With the goal of “togetherness and approachable elegance” in mind, John & Courtney designed a flawless wedding celebration weekend.
