Joe and Erika’s Intimate Military Wedding at the DC War Memorial in the spring of 2017 was a small, yet joy-filled union. The bride’s sister and maid of honor and groom’s best friend and best man were their witnesses. Coincidentally, the two are a couple, as well! The warm May afternoon provided the perfect setting for Erika and Joe as they exchanged vows underneath the dome of the memorial.

After the ceremony, our journey took us along the National Mall for portraits. Stopping at the Reflecting Pool and the Lincoln Memorial, the two had eyes for only each other. They might as well have been the only people there! Their love and excitement was palpable! The couple finished with celebratory champagne at POV Rooftop with stunning views overlooking the National Mall. Erika and Joe’s wedding is proof that sometimes less can indeed be more.
