Garden Wedding at Oatlands Plantation

Wedding Portraits at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens, Rainy Springtime Garden Wedding at Oatlands Plantation, Sarah Bradshaw Photography, DC Wedding Photographer

Matt & Ellen‘s springtime garden wedding at Oatlands Plantation was perfect. Not because of perfect weather— the skies opened up with rain the moment Ellen stepped into her wedding gown, and poured relentlessly through their outdoor ceremony until the moment they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. No, their wedding day was perfect because in spite of the weather, Matt & Ellen were most excited to get married, not about what the wedding itself looked like.

The result? Impenetrable joy all day long. From their tearful first look (which was the MOST EMOTIONAL first look of my career… we were ALL crying), to portraits under wisteria, to the crazy family dances after dinner, Matt & Ellen took joy in their day, rain and all. And so, it was perfect.

Thank you to this incredible team of vendors who made Matt and Ellen’s day so great!
