Work kept Elizabeth on the road a lot, and didn’t leave much time for dating… until the night she met Alex. What was supposed to be a an early evening meet-up for drinks (wait, why did he order a bottle of wine??) turned into a lingering dinner, and then a late-night jaunt across the river to MIT to photograph a Blood Moon. In other words, it was the last First Date of their lives.
Three months later they traveled throughout Chile together for a month. The trip went so well, they decided to extend their adventure by uprooting their lives and moving to Colorado together. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Elizabeth and Alex may come from different backgrounds, but they are adventurers who share similar values at their core. This is something that was apparent on their wedding day. They got ready at the chic new Intercontinental Hotel at the DC Wharf, surrounded by family and friends. Elizabeth wore a striped wedding gown with bold floral print heels. They shared a heartfelt first look on the water. Rabbi Jonathan Roos and Father Michael Kelley blended the couple’s Catholic and Jewish beliefs in a beautiful ceremony at the District Winery. Elizabeth and Alex wanted their wedding to be a fun party with the people they love most, and it was just that!
These wonderful vendors helped make the day extraordinary:
