Intimate Springtime Wedding Celebration on Capitol Hill & National Portrait Gallery

Intimate Springtime Wedding Celebration Capitol Hill & National Portrait Gallery

Dear Joe & Carrie,

Can you believe that it was just over a year ago that we had you two over for dinner for the first time?? You were dating and still a little uncertain of your future together, we were still newborn-baby-sleep-deprived and in such a fog with work and life and parenthood that I don’t know how we managed to hold a conversation. I don’t remember what I cooked, I don’t remember what we talked about— I just remember that you two walked into our home, and it was immediately clear that you had walked into our lives. You entered as acquaintances and left as fast friends, and filled a place in our hearts we desperately needed.

And here you are today, almost four months into marriage! What a year it as been— double dates at our house, Filomena’s during Halloween (soooooo creepy), tears on our couch, group texts, engagement(!!), marriage(!!!!), morning coffee dates (Eastern Market this time, right?!), and we could not be more thankful for your presence in our lives. What a sweet, sweet gift then to photograph your wedding!! I’m so excited to spend years (decades… please don’t ever move away, ever!!) building more memories and growing even closer!

Ceremony & Reception: Capitol Hill Baptist Church  |  Photographer: Sarah Bradshaw Photography  |  Florist: Ana Townsend (friend)  |  Bridal Gown: BHLDN  |  Hair Stylist: bride  |  After ceremony portrait location: National Portrait Gallery
