Elegant Winter Wedding at Salamander Resort

These chilly winter days make me so nostalgic for past chilly wedding days! Evan & Megan were married last year at Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA, on a chilly November morning, and their wedding held so many sweet memories and thoughtful details, I couldn’t bear to let it collect dust in the archives any longer.

They met they day Evan moved into his apartment building, and quickly formed a friendship (thanks to Megan’s cookie-baking skills. what single guy says no to warm, homemade cookies from the hot girl across the hall??), and even more quickly turned into an epic love. They got engaged and began planning their wedding for June of 2016, but just after engagement Evan got a job and moved, and after a few short months they decided that doing long-distance from Northern VA to Richmond was too much… they just wanted to be together FOREVER, and as soon as possible. They moved the wedding up to the November before Thanksgiving, but still kept everything as close to their original plan as possible. Ceremony in Salamander’s culinary garden, dusty blue and gold tones, and an evening reception spent dancing with family & friends. Truly, the most perfect day.
