As a Charleston destination wedding photographer, I count Lowndes Grove among the city's most romantic settings, and Mary Caroline and Danny's wedding showed exactly why.

They first met in New Zealand, built their relationship across continents before getting engaged, and chose Lowndes Grove for their destination wedding celebration as a place to welcome family & friends from New Zealand, England, Tennessee, and more.

During their outdoor ceremony, the breeze from the river played with the umbrellas as Mary Caroline's sister sang from her heart. Cocktail hour on the waterfront as the sun set, then dinner & dancing in an open-sided tent draped in soft pinks and overflowing with white flowers. Then an after-party at the American Theater complete with casino tables, pizza, and a DJ to close out the night. 

This is one of my favorite examples of how a Charleston summer wedding can feel both elegant and joyfully unscripted.
