I could tell you some other superficial things about myself— I love dark chocolate and red wine, I love DC for it’s grand architecture and rich history, I have a husband I adore, a strong marriage, a darling baby girl, a quaint old brick home, and a love for strong coffee & a good book.

But if you really want to know me, here are a few things that matter:

I never get tired of weddings.
I tear up at almost every first kiss.
I think pretty & styled is nice, but real life is beautiful.
I would rather cook for a friend than buy a meal out.
I care more about having a beautiful soul than a perfect body.
I cherish every lingering morning, and end every night with a kiss.
I believe marriage is one of the greatest earthly gifts anyone can receive.
I believe in telling your story, not my own version of it.

It was by far the most challenging space I’ve ever photographed— zero natural light, tight spaces, and tricky angles. Samantha decorated it like an absolute champ (seriously, I drool over […]

Best of Interiors 2018

Places & Spaces

Just as I branched out into commercial and editorial photography this past year, I placed a higher emphasis on Interiors in 2018, as well. I fell in love with interior design photography in 2011 when I moved to Capitol Hill. A friend of mine was a realtor and his company wanted a fresh take on […]

I was so honored to photograph Pamela’s studio for a feature in Where Women Create magazine. Pam is an inspiring abstract artist who designed and built a studio space above her garage. I hosted my workshop, The Intentional Photographer, in her space back in 2015 and found myself absolutely enchanted with every corner.Pam has spent a […]

We’re headed down to visit this charming home in just a few hours, so it feels fitting to share their home tour today! This gorgeous Brick Colonial Revival Home is in Richmond, was built in 1927, and is part of the Virginia Landmark Association’s National Register of Historic Places. Most importantly, it’s the home of […]
