I’m blogging my “Year in Review: Best of Portraits” from the National Portrait Gallery. I love that I live close enough to the Smithsonian to take my laptop and a few notebooks, and take a bit of time to be quiet at the start of this first workweek of the new year. Looking back over 2014’s portraits is like a shot of adrenaline in my creative bloodstream— I’m chomping at the bit to get my camera out again and capture beauty. My goal for 2014 was to shoot more for me, and to push myself creatively as often as possible. As I take a look at the work I produced, I think I reached that goal.
